Why I do the podcast?

The Zhens' podcast is my way of learning from others in science, technology and entrepreneurship, working with my brother and sharing the exciting work of our guests. Check it out!

Either out of embarrassment or fear of rejection, it took me a few podcast sessions now to share them on LinkedIn and on more personal social media sites. I tried to justify to myself that the Zhens' podcast was just for my brother (Zhen Wei Yap) and I to keep as a hobby for ourselves to talk to, meet other people, and learn for fun. However, I had a realisation that our guests' works are too important to keep to ourselves as they have significant potential to be industry changing and deserve to be heard by many more! Many of our guests are PhD students and early stage founders that could benefit from more traction with getting funding or awareness. Their work can change or (as with Lawrence Wang's (EP6) malaria vaccine work) literally save hundreds of thousands of lives!

I had to put my ego to the side and push the content out for the world to see.
